With a commanding view of the Caribbean, full air conditioning and a beautiful ocean side swimming pool; Brisa Caribe has all the standard features one looks for in a quality, luxury grade sea side vacation villa. However, once you enter this beautiful home it becomes abundantly clear that this is no ordinary luxury vacation home. The Canadian owner of Brisa Caribe has traveled the world extensively and amassed an impressive collection of rare and beautiful items that range from exotic carpets and handcrafted furniture, to mystical ceremonial masks, ancient tribal weaponry and fascinating wooden carvings. Following a career that reached to the edge of the map the owner returned to Puerto Aventuras to settle down and build his ocean front home and to fill it with the many exotic items he had collected from distant lands. The result is a home which hints at his experiences and is the kind of place where one can easily relax and feel at home.
About Puerto Aventuras....PA The main portion of Puerto Aventuras is a two minute drive away for all your vacation needs. Shopping, restaurants, water sports, scuba diving, fishing, Puerto Aventuras' magnificent main beach and 9 hole golf course, sailing & adventure tours, and much more can easily keep you entertained during daylight hours and into the night. Car rentals, guided land tours to Mayan ruins, cenotes and jungle attractions are all available in Puerto Aventuras.
Living spaces ground level From the villa's private off street parking area a heavy wrought iron gate opens to a lovely inner courtyard with a traditional Mexican fountain, wrought iron table and chairs, and a tropical garden. Upon entering the villa, a long hallway running the length of the house allows you to see straight through to the Caribbean. Bedrooms are to your left and right as you walk past the Wall of Masks and enter the entertainment room. Here a long winding couch faces a very well equipped entertainment center and glass slider that provides access to, and a view of, the ocean side verandah and pool. The pool area is furnished, with areas in full sun and shade, and the pool has a water cascade on one end. A few stairs lead down from the pool area to a wide stretch of sand with a thatched palapa facing the Caribbean. Walking north about 100 yards is a semi-public saltwater pool carved into the shoreline.
Living spaces second level and roof Ascending a stairway leads to the hallway pictured below and to the Great Room, which has a full kitchen, curved raised counter with bar stools, a living area with leather couches, and a table made from an incredible hand carved middle eastern door. Across the room is a dining table, chairs and exquisite cabinets all in solid teak. The ceramics in the dining area are spectacular, and across the room by the couches an old pair of Arab desert muskets reminiscent of Lawrence of Arabia are leaning against the wall. Everything faces the Caribbean view. A pocketed glass slider completely disappears into the wall to reveal a furnished ocean side terrace (not shown here but will be added to this page). One flight up on the roof the view is even more spectacular and a large pavilion and grill area makes this a perfect place to entertain while enjoying the view and breeze.
Bedrooms Nine bedrooms, each with a different theme, are of a quality and sophistication that is quite rare to find in a rental villa. All have individually controlled air conditioning and luxurious bedding of the highest quality and comfort. Exotic carpets and unique cultural pieces reflect the theme of each.
Just a few of the exotics This entire villa is decorated and furnished with so many fascinating and exquisite items that we cannot possibly show them all here. Just to visit the house is a cultural event in itself. Carpets, ceramics, hand carved teak furniture, exotic wooden sculpture, ancient tribal weapons, the list goes on.. all of it collected by the owners during their global travels, and each item, no doubt, has its own story.
