Villa Umaki-Ha is one of three oceanfront houses on Playa del Secreto, with only Villa Canteena between it and the sea. The architectural design of all three homes is very similar, designed maximizing the ocean view and privacy of this exclusive little neighborhood.
Villa Umaki-Ha ("man of the sea") is decorated in soft earth tones, hardwoods, stone and accents of the local Mayan culture. Hand painted murals depicting scenes of everyday life of the ancient Maya adorn the walls and ceilings. Original carvings and pottery thoughout the house add to the villa's originality. Water fountains on the back terrace and front door entrance soothe with the sound of trickling water.
The living room is equipped with satellite TV, VCR, wet bar and CD stereo. There is a fully equipped kitchen with the major appliances plus a microwave, toaster, blender, juicer and coffee maker. The dining room seats 10 people. All the place settings, utensils and cookware you'll need are provided.
There are five bedrooms each with individually controlled air conditioning, private bathrooms with hand painted sinks, and private terraces and patios with ocean views. Two master bedrooms have one king bed each and the other three bedrooms each have one queen bed. The penthouse suite includes a sitting area, a jacuzzi tub and both sunrise and sunset terraces. There is an additional sleeping area on the built-in sofa bed in the living room (please note- this is not a fold-out sofa bed). The villa has central air conditioning for everyone's comfort.
The outside areas of Umaki-Ha are just as thoughtfully designed as the inside. The beachfront swimming pool features a jacuzzi and is surrounded by a stone privacy wall. A wet bar with refrigerator, patio dining set for 8 and stereo with speakers take the party poolside.
Premium services offered include professional massage and spa therapists, concierge, chef services, babysitting, 24 hour security, high speed WiFi wireless Internet and more. Some of these are provided by arrangement and come at an additional cost.
