Avatar - The world's first roller-coaster zipline thrill ride

What's more fun than a zipline ride? AVATAR!

Zipline adventure tour operators have been trying to do this for years; to combine the ups, downs and turns of a roller-coaster with the straight line acceleration thrill of a zipline. Well it has been done by Hidden Worlds Cenote Park. First they gave us the worlds first Sky Cycle jungle/cenote ride in 2007, and now Avatar, the world's first roller-coaster zipline thrill ride. Don't be surprised if you see Avatar appear in selected adventure amusements parks around the world. Everyone is lining up to get a piece of the action, but you have the opportunity to do it here first, where it was invented. Go to Hidden Worlds Cenote Park and be among the first people anywhere to experience this wild new ride. It's more fun than a zipline and a bigger adventure than any roller-coaster. You'll never forget your first ride on Avatar

This past weekend we got a sneak peek at Avatar as the Hidden Worlds team was doing the final adjustments. After a ride out to Avatar's jungle cenote location we got the full safety briefing and were fitted for the zipline harness that attaches the rider to the Avatar's aerial track. After that it's a short ascent up a stairway to the start of the track, which resembles a monorail suspended by heavy steel cables. Once you are safely attached the fun begins with a friendly send-off into green-space. The Avatar line zips you through the jungle, up and down, and around curves, then down into a cenote cave for a splash landing in the water. Avatar is about as close as you'll get to the movie sequences where they zoom through planet Pandora's jungle on their alien birds. If you are in good shape and are up for one of the best thrills of your life don't miss Avatar at Hidden Worlds Cenote Park in the Riviera Maya, Mexico. It's the only place you'll find it... for now. Visit Hidden Worlds Cenote Park web site for more information.
