Akumal, Tulum beach, Jade bay (Akumal), Playa del Carmen main beach
23 August 2007 - Hurricane Dean report I am starting off this page with the sunset of August 20th, before hurricane Dean hit. Things got ugly around 1~2am. This picture was taken from a rooftop near the north end of Half Moon Bay, Akumal Mexico. If an angry sky can have a silver lining, this is one.  August 22, Half Moon Bay, North Akumal, first looking south, then north   August 23, Tulum beach road, first photo just south of Zamas cabanas, then approaching on Maya Tulum   beyond the damaged section the road is totally normal  Tulum beach photos, yes the sand is still there      north Tulum beach below the ruins   Jade Bay Akumal   Central Akumal, Akumal Bay, rebuilding the wall by Lol ha beach bar and cleaning the beach  Wheeling sand back out and tourists on the beach   more pictures of Half Moon Bay, North Akumal on August 23   Playa del Carmen main beach, some exposed rock at the surf line between 2nd and 6th streets, elsewhere pure sand
