Casa Tranquilidad lives up to its name in comfortable style

Casa Tranquilidad is tucked away in a little garden courtyard between Yal ku lagoon and Half Moon Bay in North Akumal. Because Casa Tranquilidad has no frontage on either it is very affordable, yet both Yal ku lagoon and Half Moon Bay are very nearby, no more than 5 minutes away. Several restaurants and convenience stores are also nearby, and Central Akumal is less than 10 minutes down the road.
Inside Casa Tranquilidad you'll notice the privacy afforded by the set-back entrance driveway and large wooden privacy gate separating the casa from its street side. There is a arbor over the parking area to shade your car. The front door to the casa opens to reveal a fully equipped kitchen to the left, a hallway to the right that leads to two bedrooms, and the living room, dining room straight ahead.
The kitchen has a six burner stove/oven, microwave, toaster, blender, coffee maker, bottled purified water, and enough cook ware, cutlery and place settings to service the house. There is a raised counter breakfast bar that seats three and separates the kitchen from the dining area. It also has a TV with satellite service facing the dining and living room areas.
The dining area and living room are in open floor plan creating a unified main living space with a spacious feel. Both face the garden courtyard. The dining area seats up to six people and has a glass slider to the pool patio. The living room has a window to the pool patio, a couch for three with side tables and lamps, two chairs, and a central coffee table.
There are two bedrooms just around the corner from the main living/dining area. The first has a king bed, window and glass slider that opens to the pool patio. The other has a double bed and window facing the other side of the house. Each bedroom has its own individually controlled air conditioner, TV and bathroom.
The pool patio and splash pool are perhaps the inspiration for the home's name creating a peaceful ambiance and focal point for the house. This area is nicely furnished with padded chaise lounges and chairs, a sofa, small tables, lovely palms, and flowering tropical plants. A limestone patio encircles the splash pool which is shallow enough to be kid friendly, under supervision.
Casa Tranquilidad can also be an excellent option for small families and groups when combined with Casitas Tranquilidad, which are two, one bedroom apartments facing the street on the same property. Whether your group is just two people or as many as eight, the Tranquilidad accommodations are good options that will fit almost any vacation budget.
