Casa Savasana great value, artistic jungle style, one minute from Yal ku lagoon

Casa Savasana is down a gravel path shaded by palms, banana, bamboo and other tropical plants. The placid waters of beautiful Yal-ku Lagoon are less than 100 yards away, and the ocean on Half Moon Bay just a three minute walk to the east.
 This is a very private location that's tranquil and peaceful, a perfect location for a house such as this, wrapped in green inside and out, with lots of windows, warm earth tones, rich mahogany wood and colorful tile. Savasana is a house in step with its environment, blue water and green jungle. The entry has a lovely sitting area with 2 chairs under the palapa and a beautiful stained glass front door window of banana leaves. Just inside is a large multi-pane window looking out on the green exterior.
The interior decor has a playful jungly style exemplified by its cactus shaped chairs at the dining table, hand carved armoire that hides the living room Satellite TV, bamboo furniture and marvelous stained glass. Splashes of color are everywhere in the Talavera tile, paint and woodwork, creating a relaxing ambiance, perfectly suited for a tropical vacation.
On the ground level are two bedrooms a master bedroom with a king size bed and a guest bedroom with two double beds. There is one bathroom on this level. The master bedroom has french doors to an exterior porch surrounded by lush greenery. The guest bedroom has two double beds and a large window for ambient light.
A stairway leads to the second floor "Great room". This is a tremendous 30' x 40' room with couches and chairs for socializing, a Satellite TV system for entertainment, a large dining room table that seats eight comfortably, and still plenty of open floor space for that wide open feel. Wrap around windows surround the room and let in plenty of light.
Off the end of the living room is the full kitchen with stove, oven, microwave, blender, toaster, coffee maker, etc. A bathroom is between the kitchen and living room.
The third floor bedroom is accessed by a stairway from the living room area. This is a very private bedroom with king size bed, colorful tiled benches built into the wall, ceiling and windows covered with colorful fabric below a thatched roof, and panoramic windows looking out over north Akumal and Yal-ku Lagoon.
Last but not least is the guest cottage in the garden area (optional). This colorful one-room air conditioned bungalow is totally self-sufficient with a double bed, kitchenette, colorful furnishings, private bathroom and exterior porch. Sleeps 2. |
