Kids can build sand castles and sunbathers can catch plenty of rays without needing to pack up and travel anywhere, and the pool is perfectly positioned on the beach side of the house. The shallow protected bay area is good for snorkeling coral heads or just swimming around. There is a two person kayaks for cruising the bay included with the rental of the house and sailboards are usually for rent along the beach. Scuba diving and fishing are available from a dive shop that's right up the beach, less than a minute walk away.
Bedrooms & beach level Casa Salvaje is a modern beach villa on a sea of sand. This two-story house has four air conditioned bedrooms (2 with private bathrooms). Three bedrooms are on the ocean side of the house. These have a Caribbean/pool view and slider to a private terrace upstairs, or downstairs sliders open to the pool patio facing the beach. The other bedroom faces the garden greenery on the other side of the house. The 5th bedroom is a casita/studio which opens to the garden side of the property, with one queen bed, a single bed, private bathroom and kitchenette. Casa Salvaje's main house has a full modern kitchen with a microwave oven, a living room with comfortable couches and a dining area with panoramic windows. All have a garden view. An outdoor grill is provided for your catch of the day or cheeseburger in paradise. Cookout and dining options are on the garden side, inside or on the pool deck and beach. Casa Salvaje also has WiFi Internet.
In the neighborhood Right in Aventuras Akumal is a convenience store for any immediate kitchen needs. Next door, to the south of "Aventuras", is the entertainment complex of Hacienda Doña Isabel. It is within walking distance for gift shopping, dancing, cocktails and dining.
Vacation research A few minutes up the road is central Akumal for more shopping, water sports and beach bars. For the sights, Tulum ruins are 20 minutes south and the Pueblo of Tulum just a bit farther, as is Tulum beach. To the north about 40 minutes is the major tourist town of Playa del Carmen.
