The sandy beach in front of La Joya is a great place to catch some rays and take advantage of the gorgeous view of Half Moon Bay. Beach lounges and an outdoor shower are provided for your tanning sessions, or you can park yourself under the thatched umbrella and chill out in the shade. For the energetic, Half Moon Bay is good for swimming and snorkeling coral heads in low surf. Yal ku Lagoon is nearby for snorkeling with lots of fish in zero surf.
Each of the seven condo units has an open floor plan to maximize living space and glass sliders for the wonderful breeze. Bedrooms are air-conditioned and ceiling fans are in all the major living spaces. All units have full kitchens with a small 4 burner stove/oven, comfortable living rooms and dining areas. Ground level units have their own patio by the beach and 2nd and 3rd floor units have ocean side terraces with a that great Caribbean view. Two bedroom units have a master bedroom with a private ocean side terrace.
Stores and restaurants nearby Nearby on Half Moon Bay are two convenience stores for last minute items, cervezas... and there are two restaurants on the bay. La Buena Vida is a favorite watering hole/restaurant with a sand floor "swing bar", dive shop next door. The other way toward Yal ku lagoon is La Lunita restaurant for excellent international cuisine inside and on the beach. Akumal Bay is the heart of town two kilometers south. There you will find more restaurants, gift shops, grocery stores, dive shops, just about anything you could need.
