This beautiful oceanfront villa in north Akumal has a huge upstairs air conditioned master bedroom suite that faces the Caribbean and has a private balcony with panoramic view of Caribbean. A rooftop sun deck has a spectacular 360 degree view of the Caribbean and tropical jungle. Sunrises with a cup of coffee, sunsets with a cocktail or stargazing at night all become a memorable experience up there. Great breeze! Those to timid for the heights might want to stick by the swimming which has a grilling area out of the breeze.
Inside and amenities On the first floor Casa del Mar has a comfortable living room with an entertainment center with satellite TV, DVD and CD player. The house also has WiFi wireless Internet and iPod docking station. A glass slider in the living room has a Caribbean view and leads to the ocean side patio. Next to the living room is a large formal dining room with its own glass slider to the ocean side patio and view, and a bathroom featuring hand painted Talavera tile work is just off the dining room. The kitchen overlooks the living room and dining room and is fully equipped with all the major appliances, including microwave and blender, and it has a raised counter with bar stools facing the living room and Caribbean view. Another large air conditioned bedroom with a private bathroom is on the garden side of the the first floor. A second patio by the front door overlooks the swimming pool. A charcoal grill is nearby for cookouts around the pool. Both patios are perfect for entertaining. If you like delicious traditional Mayan and Mexican cuisine you can arrange to have dinners prepared for you by the on site staff, for a small additional charge.
