Beach level and the pool On its first floor Casa Texana has two ocean side bedrooms with king size beds and private sliders out onto the pool deck. There is a third glass sliders at ground level on the beach side of the house off the living room making cookouts and pool parties very convenient to the living room and downstairs kitchen and bar. Private pool and beach access from the bedrooms is quite nice for secret midnight dips, stargazing and beach combing. A third bedroom on the first floor is on the garden side of the house and has two twin beds which can be pushed together to make a king. The pool area has a smooth cut limestone pool deck, waterfall feature and a shallow area that's perfect for lounging in the water. Sun worshipers will enjoy working on their tans from either the furnished pool deck, private roof top or the sandy beach, just a step off the pool deck. Inside, the first floor main living area has a comfortable seating area by the pool side sliding doors, a dining room table that seats six under a natural bricked dome, and the first of two kitchens, this one featuring all new a appliances and custom European cabinets, built in ice maker with osmosis water filtration and a center island with stool seating. Next to the dining area is a new built in bar with wine refrigerator, flat screen TV with satellite and DVD player.
The Second Floor is another tremendous living space with ample seating, fully equipped wet bar with built in ice maker and wine cooler and custom television area. There is also a second kitchenette on one side of the living, with custom cabinets, refrigerator, microwave and stove. The upstairs living room and bar have 2 large sliding doors that open to an ocean side terrace providing wonderful views of the beach. The terrace is fully furnished and has an exterior stairway down to the pool deck and beach so you don't have to walk through the house to get to the beach from the second floor. The upstairs living room and terrace have original stone art carvings of Mayan design as well as an original Chac Mool statue providing a dramatic and interesting location to relax and enjoy a meal, drinks, music or a good book. Guests will soon discover the convenience of this arrangement. The fourth bedroom, the master bedroom suite, is also on the second level and has its own private ocean side balcony, sitting room with domed brick ceiling above the master King size bed and private full bath. There is a powder room located in the upper living area. Another stairway from the second floor leads to the rooftop observation deck and a spectacular panoramic view of greater Akumal Bay.
